Our Story

In 1958 Jerry Schuchardt and one of his twin brothers opened Santa Clara Barber Shop. Soon after, Keith moved to Baker, Oregon to open his own shop. Over 63 years Jerry occupied 3 different store fronts on the corner of Irving and River Road, here in Eugene, the latter for 58 years.

In 1985 Jerry was joined by his daughter Shane. Together they ran the shop until his death in 2019. Today Shane is keeping the same family friendly barber shop with a mix of vintage and modern accessible to everyone. We have as many as four generations of families that still come to our shop. So fun to have someone sit in your chair and say “my grandpa and dad come here and I got my first haircut here” ... love it! The old traditional shops seem to be dying off quickly... we are working to keep that tradition alive!
